Purpose and Ownership

Summers County Released Inmates is a private reference with no government ties. It stores no official jail, court, or release records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a request or court document.

It directs visitors toward official Summers County and WVDCR resources and may connect visitors with independent search tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

• Do not violate any law through use of the site.
• Do not use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
• Do not use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions.
• Do not seek unauthorized access to any system or account.
• Do not operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools.
• Do not impair the site's availability for other visitors.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and neither do its advertising partners. You agree not to use its data for:

• Hiring, firing, promotion, or other employment decisions.
• Tenant selection or any housing decision.
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing.
• Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility.
• Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Third-Party Destinations

Links may lead to release records, sheriff and corrections pages, government portals, legal-aid information, and independent search services. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control a destination's content, privacy practices, data handling, terms, or availability, so review its rules before use.

Service Provided As Is

The site and all content are provided “as is” without a warranty that:

• Information is always accurate, complete, or current.
• Access will be continuous or uninterrupted.
• The site will be free from defects, bugs, or security weaknesses.
• A partner search will return every relevant result.

Custody status and public records can change quickly. Nothing on this site is an official statement by a sheriff, jail, DCR, court, or another government agency. West Virginia public-record access remains governed by Chapter 29B and other applicable law.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of a linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend and hold the site, its operators, and partners harmless from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees that arise from your use, misuse, or breach of these terms.

Ownership of Site Materials

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Summers County Released Inmates or its content partners. You may not copy, publish, distribute, or modify those materials without written permission, except where law expressly permits the use.

Revisions to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. A revision becomes effective when the new version is posted here.

Suspension of Access

We may restrict, suspend, or revoke access at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

West Virginia Law

West Virginia law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction within West Virginia.

Severability of Terms

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected part will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.
